November Events:

Please join us for our Mass for the Bereaved on Sunday, November 6th at 9:00 a.m.  This will be a time when we pray in a special way for our loved ones who have gone before us.

The weekend of the 20th is our last weekend of the Church Year and we end the Year of Mercy,  we have a new flyer on Eight Ways to Live a Merciful Life at the doors of the Church.  This little flyer has very practical suggestions to help us continue our practices of mercy as we move into our next Church Year.  Please take one, reflect  and share with your family for your prayer and life of discipleship as a Catholic.

Thanksgiving Meal Gift Cards

The past several years the parish has very generously donated turkeys and canned goods for our St. Vincent DePaul food pantry clients at Thanksgiving. This year we are trying something new.  We are asking for $25 gift cards to Aldi or Shop-n-Save to give to the clients during the month of December.  Because we serve as many as 140 families a month, we are attempting to collect 140 gift cards by December 1st.  Please put gift cards/cash/checks (made out to IC SVDP) in an envelope, labeled SVDP, and put them in the collection basket during the month of November.  Thank you so much!

Thanksgiving Day we will have a collection for the St. Vincent De Paul food pantry.  Please bring your donation to church for the 9 am Mass.

On Thanksgiving Day we will have a blessing of food, so bring a food item to be blessed for your meal at home.

The Advent Wreath Making Potluck will be Sunday, Nov. 27th, at 4 pm in the gym.  Everyone is invited.  Bring a dish to share and your wreath base (let the staff know if you need a wreath base).  We will share a meal, make our wreaths (greens, candles and ribbon provided by IC), and participate in Evening Prayer service in the gym.  We need to know how many families are coming and what you will bring for the dinner.  Please sign up in the back of church or call the office to let Eva know how many are coming.

The rectory will be closed on November 24th and 25th, Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving.

Upcoming December Events:

The Masses for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception will be on Thursday, Dec. 8, a holy day of obligation, at 8 am and 6 pm.  There will be a chili supper for our feast day celebration in the gym.
