February 13 – 11:00am – Guided Tour of the Cathedral Basilica – meet in the parking lot at 10:45am to carpool over or meet us at the Cathedral for our own personal tour of the Cathedral.  Suggested donations are $1/child, $2/adult

February 13 – 5:00-9:30pm – Sweetheart Dance (in the gym) – sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary #903 and featuring music by “The Stubborn Kinda Fellas”, an exciting 6-Piece R&B Dance Band.  Appetizers: 5pm to 7pm, Music and Dancing: 7pm to 9:30pm, $15 per person or $25 per couple in advance. $20 per person at door (Appetizers Included). New Year’s Vigil Mass – December 31 – 4:00pm

New Year’s Day Mass – January 1 – 9:30am

Spaghetti with Elvis – January 2 – (in the gym) Dinner will be served from 5-7pm with entertainment by Gary Gray at 6:00pm, Joe Miller at 7:00pm, and Elvis (Steve Davis) at 8:00pm.  Tickets are available by calling Eileen Lencz at 314-781-9506 or Karen Bish at 314-645-1089.  A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit ALS.

Deborah Lee in Concert – January 9 – 7:00pm (in the church) – Come hear singer/songwriter Deborah Lee as she sings her songs of life and faith. Her husband, Gary Lee, will join on cello for a portion of the concert. A free will offering will be taken to go toward the continuation of this music ministry. Community Prayer for Peace – January 10 – 4:30pm (in the church) – Join the Maplewood Richmond Heights Community for 30 minutes of quiet prayer for peace.  All faiths and non-faiths are welcome.

Blessing of the Candles/Blessing of Throats (Feast of St. Blaise) – January 30/31 at Mass.  Please bring candles to be blessed.

Happy November!  Join us at Immaculate Conception for daily mass every Monday thru Friday at 8:00am in our Daily Mass Chapel, on Saturdays at 4:00pm and on Sundays at 9:30am.

Important dates to remember!

November 7: Last Knights of Columbus BBQ of the year!! 10:00am – 6:00pm at the Maplewood Shell Station on the corner of Big Bend and Manchester.

November 8: Mass of the Bereaved Join us at the 9:30am mass to remember all our deceased loved ones.

November 8: Green Social Seniors are invited to this FREE lunch and bingo from 12:00 – 3:00pm in the IC gym.  RSVP to Anne Arias in the office (645-3307) if you plan to attend.

November 14: Lector Training for New and Seasoned Lectors A training and refresher for new and seasoned lectors will be held from 8:30 – 10:30 am in Church.  This will be led by Ellen and Tom Simmons.  This is open to any youth and adult parishioners who are interested.  Please contact Anne Arias at the rectory office to sign up as soon as possible.  Come and develop your skills and gift of proclaiming the Word.  You are greatly needed!

November 14: Thanksgiving Grocery Drop Off 3:30 – 4:30pm SVDP Thanksgiving Groceries 2015

November 22: Thanksgiving Grocery Give-Away – Volunteers are needed from 9:00 – 11:00am to help setup the gym and from 2:00 – 4:00pm to help give-away the groceries.

November 26: Thanksgiving Mass at 9:00am  – Bring an item of food from your meal to be blessed and bring cash or food donations for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

November 29: Kick off your Advent at our Annual Advent Wreath Making Potluck at 4:00pm in the gym– Bring a dish to share and your wreath base (let the staff know if you need a wreath base).  We will share a meal, make our wreaths (greens, candles and ribbon provided by IC), and participate in a short wreath blessing service.

October 3: Ladies Auxiliary #903 Indoor Yard Sale – 8:00am-1:00pm in the gym.  There will also be a bake sale with all proceeds going to support our SVDP Food Pantry.

October 18: FREE Cathechetical Artistry Concert at 3:00pm in the church. IC Maplewood MO

September – with the fall comes change at IC

Welcome to Immaculate Conception Church in Maplewood, MO!  Proudly serving Maplewood Catholics for 111 years!

It is with sadness that we say goodbye to Fr. Jim Gray, who has served our community as well as the Barnes Jewish Hospital community for the last 10+ years. We wish him the best at his new home in Overland, MO at St. Jude Parish.

We welcome Fr. John Paul Hopping and Fr. Tony Anike who will be serving our parish as well as St. Luke the Evangelist parish in Richmond Heights.
Daily Mass is back to normal!!  Mass at 8:00am, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

August 2015

Welcome to Immaculate Conception Church in Maplewood, Missouri!  We would love to share the Eucharist with you at one of our weekly masses; Monday – Friday at 8:00am in the Daily Mass Chapel, Saturday at 4:00pm and Sunday at 9:30am.

Please join us in wishing Fr. Jim well, in his new assignment to St. Jude’s Parish.  We will be hosting “hospitality” in the gym following both masses the weekend of August 22 and 23.  Bring a card with “well wishes and thank you’s” for Fr. Jim.  Let’s fill the church for both masses!!

PSR Registration is taking place the entire month of August.  See the PSR page for more details.  We will not be accepting registrations on the first day of class, September 13th, so please register during August.  Registrations are accepted at mass, at the rectory, by mail, or by email at icmaplewood@gmail.com.

Masses for the Feast of the Assumption will be on Friday, August 14 at 7:00pm and Saturday, August 15 at 8:00am.

Do you want to get to know each other better?  We are hosting our first of several IC Socials on Friday, August 28 from 7-9pm in the gym.  Bring a snack and drink to share.  There will be tables set up for those who want to socialize and also space for the kids to run and play.  We hope to see you all there!
