Advent – Christmas

“Advent is the season that begins the liturgical calendar of the Catholic Church.  The object of Advent is to renew and improve our spiritual skills so as to be more able to discern and identify the grace and presence of Christ in our lives.  Advent focuses on this so that we are better prepared to walk with Jesus throughout His life, ministry, passion and resurrection which are the subjects of the rest of the liturgical year.” Fr. James C. Gray
