Immaculate Conception Church will be hosting the St. Louis Irish Arts at the MRH High School on February 4th, 2012. The event will begin with a traditional Gaelic Mass in the recently renovated MRH HS Auditorium at 5:30pm. Hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction will take place in the MRH Commons at 6:30pm. The St. Louis Arts Musicians and Dancers will begin their performance at 8:15pm in the Auditorium. Advance tickets and raffle tickets are being sold after Mass and by phone at 781-1969 for $20/adult and $10/child 10 and under. Tickets will be sold at the door for $25/adult and $12/child 10 and under. All seating for the Mass and Performance is first come/first serve. Please call 781-1969 for more info.

IC’s Service Commission is sponsoring a sock drive throughout the whole month of November, to benefit the children at Good Shepard Children and Family Services in University City. There are currently about 125 foster kids in the care of Good Shepard, from infants to the age of 21 and they need all kinds of socks. All socks are being collected in the box in the back of church.
Thanksgiving Mass will be held at 9:00am on November 24th. Families are encouraged to bring an item that they will be serving at their meal to be carried in the entrance procession and blessed during Mass. Please join us!
Need to get some Christmas shopping done? Black Friday, November 25th, we are hosting a Parent’s Day Out from 2-4pm in the LaSalette Room. Drop your kids off for a movie and get some secret shopping done! Email Cori at nationscori@yahoo.com for more info.
The Advent Wreath Potluck will be held on November 27th at 4:00pm in the Parish Hall. All are welcome! Bring a dish to pass and your wreath base. Greens, candles and ribbon will be available for creating a family advent wreath. A short wreath blessing service will be held after dinner. Call the rectory at 645-3307 if you need a wreath base.
The Giving Tree will be up in the church starting the weekend of November 26/27. Please pick one or more tags off the tree to help provide a gift or food item for a local MRH Early Childhood family.

The Ladies Auxiliary #903 is sponsoring their annual Fall Harvest Breakfast on October 30th from 8:00am – 12:00pm in the Parish Hall. All you can eat pancakes, sausage, and eggs will be offered for $7/adult, $6/seniors 60 and over and $3/kids 8 and under. See you all there!
….and in November….Join us for the Annual Sausage Supper on November 5th from 2:00-7:00pm for all-you-can-eat sausage, sauerkraut, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, bread, applesauce, milk, and coffee. Adults/$10, children 10 and under/$5. Carryouts will be available. Call ahead on Saturday at 644-6787 to order your meal for carryout. Helpers are needed on Wednesday, November 2nd to make applesauce and on the day of the supper to serve and work in the kitchen.

Join us for our 2nd Annual IC Homecoming this Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 12:00-8:00pm. IC Washer Tournament (12-6pm), raffles all day, basket raffle, cake walk, booze walk, rappelling wall, music, our famous chicken dinners, kids games, hat-making, crafts, plants, fun, fun, fun!!!

The Bishop Family is hosting a Trivia Night at IC on October 15th to support the local non-profit “Joe’s Place” which houses homeless young men from MRH High School. Call Karen Bishop at 644-1304 for more info and tickets.
Flu shots will be available after Mass on October 15th at 5:00pm in the back of church. The cost is $20 and will be reimbursable to your insurance company or Medicare.

Our next Free Family Movie Night will be on October 22nd at 6:30pm in the gym. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. Snacks will be available for purchase.
